AIA Merit of Honor
Built as a private residence in the same year of its’ name, Anchorage is now thought to be the largest tabby structure in the U.S. In recent years the original 7,764 sq.ft. structure was used as an office building. After being abandoned for five years, Allison Ramsey Architects was hired in 2013 to turn it into a Bed & Breakfast. It has become a staple for visitors to Beaufort.
